RAPPUHN, WILLIAM of Waterford, surrounded by his loving family, passed away at home after a long battle with prostate cancer on February 2, 2023 at 79 years of age. Loving husband of Marilyn (née Ball) for 61 years; cherished father of Debbie (John) Barrett, William A. (Gina) Rappuhn; grandfather of Sara, Zachary (Tina), Josh (Taylor), Mikayla, and Connor; great grandfather of Mckenzie, Riley, and Rhemi; brother of Fred (Lois) Rappuhn, Linda (Richard) Baker, Shirley (Richard) Ogden, and Ronnie Rappuhn; brother in law of Janice Bax and Donald (Ria) Ball; survived by his beloved dog, Charlie; preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dorothy (née Koehler) Rappuhn; brothers, Harold and Tommy Rappuhn; and survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill was a metal model maker and skilled tradesman for GM, retiring in 2005 after 43 years of service. Bill and Marilyn, with their young family spent vacations camping which often included a NASCAR race. He was an avid golfer and bowler with his friends, and traveled throughout the state and country in bowling tournaments. After retirement, time was spent line dancing and couples dance lessons. He had a great love of cars and enjoyed researching and tinkering with anything and everything. He will be forever missed for his generous smile and the love of his family. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 12 PM at Peace Lutheran Church, 7390 Elizabeth Lake Rd, Waterford. Family will receive friends Wednesday 10:30 AM until time of service.
