William Martin Obituary

William “Bill” Roger Martin, age 83, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill married his beloved wife, Catherine, in September of 1991, and together they shared 34 wonderful years filled with devotion, laughter, and adventure. Known affectionately as a “man’s man,” Bill had a deep passion for the outdoors and all things mechanical. He found great joy in hunting, fishing, golfing, flying his remote-control airplanes, and working on his many muscle car projects. He cherished time spent with the guys - whether for fun, advice, or simply enjoying each other's company. Bill was the person his loved ones turned to for wisdom, support, and a good laugh.

A man of great character and loyalty, Bill deeply valued his friendships, many of which lasted a lifetime. Even after his passing, the steadfast presence of his friends remains a testament to the impact he had on those around him. When he wasn’t spending time with his dearest friends and family, you could find him at home with his feline companions, Gizmo and Honeybear. He had cats throughout his entire life, which brought him endless joy, comfort, and companionship, especially in his later years.

Bill was also a devoted Catholic and a faithful member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, where he worshipped alongside his wife. After being diagnosed with Glioblastoma, he faced his illness with strength, hope, and unshakable faith. True to his nature, Bill remained grounded in his belief that our lives are in God's hands. He drew comfort in the knowledge that, when his time came, he would stand with Archangel Michael to fight for God’s kingdom and the blessings bestowed upon him and his loved ones.

Bill is survived by his cherished wife, Catherine; loving daughter, Jennifer (Jim); and dearest grandson, Alex. He will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, sense of humor, and unwavering faith. He was a beloved husband, trusted friend, and a guiding light to many. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
