William A. Lehman of Pontiac , passed away on May 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on May 13, 1952, William was a man whose kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to family defined his life. For 52 beautiful years, he was the beloved husband of Paula Lehman, his best friend and partner through every season of life. Together, they raised two children, Matt (Marizel) and Meggin (Marvin), who inherited his quiet strength, sense of humor, and deep loyalty.
William’s joy multiplied with the arrival of his seven grandchildren: the late Toriano, Antonio, Demetrius (Veronica), Julian, Julius, Jessenia, and Aaliyah. His love for them was boundless. Rarely did a day pass without him picking up the phone just to say, “You’re my favorite—just don’t tell the others.” His gentle teasing and sincere affection were hallmarks of the deep bonds he shared with each of them. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Laianni, and Mariella, who brought an added light into his later years.
A devoted brother to Sharon (the late Duke) and Beverly (Don), William’s roots in family were as strong as his commitment to enjoying life’s simple pleasures. He found joy in everyday things—walks through the neighborhood, a competitive game of bowling, a round of golf, or watching a ballgame. William dedicated 37.5 years of loyal service to GM before retiring, and in retirement he enjoyed keeping his lawn pristine, often joking with pride, “Yard is lookin’ like Tiger Stadium.”
William’s love extended beyond people to the pets he cherished. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Coco, and fond memories of Abby Rose, now greeting him on the other side.
William’s warmth, laughter, and steady presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love and family will continue to live on in every person he touched.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Coats Funeral Home - Clarkston. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM.
Rest well, William. You were everyone’s favorite—and this time, we’ll tell the others.
