JONES, TOMMY F. “TOM”, of Waterford, passed away on April 2, 2026, at 82 years of age.
Tom was the loving husband, companion, and soulmate of the late Della (née Hall) Jones for 56 years. He was the beloved father of Tina (Willie) Conner and Thomas Watson, and was preceded in death by his daughters, Robin Pincombe and Mary Marr. He was a proud grandfather of Michael, Christopher, Sheri, David, Crystal, Mariah, Jonathan, Carrie, Vince, and Samantha, and a great-grandfather of many.
Tom retired from Ford Motor Company in 2005 after 40 years of dedicated service, taking pride in his work and the life he built for his family.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and simply being outside. Indoors, Tom found joy in life’s simpler pleasures—dining out, watching western movies and dreaming of being a cowboy, following wrestling, reading, and even keeping up with the mysterious escapades of Bigfoot.
A longtime member of the Oakland County Sportsmen's Club, Tom valued the friendships and camaraderie he found there over the years.
Known for his dry sense of humor—and the unmistakable expression that often came with it—Tom had a personality that those who knew him will never forget. He had a way of saying a lot without saying much at all.
Tom will be deeply loved and cherished by his family. They find comfort in knowing that he has been welcomed home by his beloved Della.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. To post a tribute, visit www.CoatsFuneralHome.com.
