Thomas James Vranich

Thomas James Vranich of Waterford passed away on May 2nd 2025 at the age of 73. Tom was the beloved husband of Michele M Vranich. He is survived by his loving wife, Michele; his loving children, Jenifer L. Figone and John T. Vranich; grandfather of Erin and Allie (Figone), Addison and Brody Vranich; brother of sister Terry (Reinbold); nieces, cousins, and an extended step family including great step aunt Joyce (DeFonte) and step sister Cathie (Guilbault).

Tom retired after 34 years of employment with Ford Motor Company. He developed a personal trainer business that he enjoyed for over 20 years. His successful business thrived as his patrons appreciated his knowledge and commitment to enhancing their lives and many of them became good friends.

Tom met Michele in 1997 at Prescription Fitness (Waterford gym). Michele knew he would be the man she would marry. They married on April 22, 2000. They were kindred spirits from the start. Tom was a loving, kind and engaging man. He would speak to anyone he met and their circle of friends grew rapidly. Tom and Michele enjoyed a life full of parties and gatherings that brought much happiness to the family and friends. He made everyone feel special, and his laugh was unforgettable.

Tom enjoyed photography, loved nature and wildlife passionately. Their home was filled with photographs of his family, animals and the natural world. Eagles and wolves were among his favorite sculptures.

Tom had tremendous personal strength and overcame many of life’s obstacles with compassion, determination and grace. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Tom’s life will be held Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Fish Hatchery Park, 4490 Hatchery Rd, Waterford, MI 48239.
