Susann Elizabeth Furlong

Susann E. Furlong passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025. She was born on December 26, 1941, in Detroit. Susann graduated from Allen Park High School and spent many years working for GM as well as Penske. Following a stroke about 15 years ago, she continued to live a full and enjoyable life until the past couple of years when she was diagnosed with dementia. Susann enjoyed listening to music and she would often be inspired to get up and dance. Susann was preceded in death by her son Patrick Furlong and her sister Rita Lofthouse. She is survived by son Michael (wife Cindy), grandsons David, Michael, Mathew, and great grandchildren Kaleb, Brysen, Adalynn, Kanan, and Bane. She is also survived by brother John Milligan (wife Diane), nephew Robert Lofthouse (wife Carol), and nephew David Lofthouse and lifelong friend Karen Hillestad. Susann’s ashes will be buried next to her son Patrick at a graveside service May 1, 2025 at All Saints Cemetery in Waterford, Michigan. Arrangements entrusted to COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.
