Sheryl Kay Hall, of Waterford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 12, 2026, at 65 years of age. Sheryl was born on January 21, 1961, in Pontiac, to Bernard Charles Spencer and Tobey Rosenine Spencer (née Coffman). She met the love of her life, Coy Douglas Hall, through her cousin, and he took her on their first official date to an Elton John concert in 1976. The two were married on January 29, 1977, and together they built a beautiful life and raised two sons. Sheryl worked for many years at a dry cleaners until her retirement. Outside of work, she embraced life with energy and passion. She loved anything involving the beach and tropical weather. Sheryl and her husband Coy shared a love for travel and made countless memories together visiting places such as Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. Her backyard pool area, decorated like a tropical island, was one of her favorite places to relax and soak up the sunshine. She loved to shop and was truly a fashionista with a tremendous wardrobe. Music and dancing brought her joy, and she was known as an opinionated little spitfire with a vibrant personality that could light up any room. Above all else, Sheryl loved her family more than herself. She cherished being a mother and grandmother and found happiness in giving gifts and making others feel special. Sheryl leaves behind her devoted husband of nearly 50 years, Coy D. Hall; her beloved sons, Bill Hall and Coy (Tamara) Hall Jr.; her treasured grandchildren, Jackson, Lincoln, Liam, and Kaylin; and her siblings, Bernard C. Spencer Jr., Timothy Spencer, and Willard (Elaine) Spencer. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Family and friends are welcome to gather in remembrance of Sheryl on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Coats Funeral Home - Waterford. Sheryl’s love, laughter, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
A Celebration of life will be held on May 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the VFW Post 1370, 800 Cesar E Chavez Ave, Pontiac, Michigan 48340.
