Sharon Healy Obituary

HEALY, SHARON A., of White Lake, formerly of Waterford, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, at 79 years of age. Sharon was the beloved wife of the late Irving “Fred” Healy and a woman whose life was defined by quiet sacrifice, unwavering loyalty, and deep love for her family.

She was the devoted stepmother of Vicki Healy, who lived with Sharon for several years following Fred’s passing, and the late Terry Healy. Sharon was a cherished sister and, in many ways, a second mother to her brothers, John (Dana) Landsparger, James (Pat) Landsparger, and the late Arnold (the late Cathy) Landsparger.

At a young age, when her father became a single parent, Sharon made a remarkable and selfless choice—setting aside many of her own dreams and aspirations to help raise and support her family. With strength beyond her years, she became a steady and comforting presence, offering guidance, protection, and unconditional love. That same nurturing spirit would remain the hallmark of her life.

She was the dear aunt of Matthew (Cindy), Melissa (Noah), Jessica (August), Brian (Kristie), Robert (Margaret), and the late Donald (Lisa), and a proud great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. To them, she was more than an aunt—she was a source of warmth, wisdom, and reassurance.

Sharon retired from Michigan Bell in 2005 after more than 30 years of dedicated service, forming friendships that lasted well beyond her career. Yet her greatest work was never measured in years or titles, but in the countless ways she showed up for others.

She found happiness in simple pleasures—crafting, collecting Precious Moments and Beanie Babies, and spending time with friends through her involvement with the Waterford Eagles, where she once served as president. Sharon had a gentle sense of humor and a beautiful laugh that could brighten a room. Kind and loving, she shared a special closeness with her stepdaughters and treasured every bond she formed throughout her life.

Those who knew Sharon understood that her strength was quiet but powerful. She was the person others leaned on, the safe place in difficult times, and the steady heart of her family. Her life was a testament to compassion, resilience, and selflessness.

Though she will be deeply missed, the love Sharon gave so freely continues in the lives she shaped and the family she helped hold together. Her legacy is not only in what she did, but in how deeply she cared—and that love will endure forever.

Private burial will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan where in spirit she will join Fred and her beloved dog, Pepper. Arrangements entrusted to COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.  To share a memory or post a tribute, please visit www.CoatsFuneralHome.com.
