Sara Rose Cork

SARA ROSE CORK, age 91, of Clarkston, Michigan, passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Sara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Vern Cork, and by her siblings: Dr. Guy (Marie) Poppy, Nellie (Donald) Deedrick, Ruth (John) Mooney, Cecil Poppy, Charles Poppy, and Robert Poppy.

She is survived by her children, Wendy Trim and Brian (Jennifer) Cork; her grandchildren, Brianna, Damian, Devlin, Mya, and multiple great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Geraldine Poppy (Robert's wife), and many nieces and nephews.

Sara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, grace, and strength touched all who knew her. She loved time with her family and leaves behind a legacy of love, quite faith, and enduring memories. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. The eulogy will be delivered at 3:00PM by family friend, Jay Blackmer.

A private inurnment will take place in the spring at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
