Samantha Smith, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Samantha passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 38. She was born on July 14, 1986, in Pontiac, Michigan, and spent her life spreading love and compassion to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A devoted member of the Holly House of Prayer, Samantha also played an instrumental role in the Foodbank of Pontiac Missionary Baptist Church, where her selfless spirit and dedication to helping others made a lasting impact. Throughout her life, Samantha was known for her unwavering calling to take care of those around her, offering kindness, warmth, and support to anyone in need.
Samantha is survived by her loving parents, Lisa Smith and Robert Smith; her dear sisters, Amanda Burns and Kaleigh Fox; and her brothers, Robert Tipton Smith and Seth Smith. She was an extraordinary aunt, affectionately known as "Mom #2" to her cherished nieces and nephews, Ethan Leslie and Colleen Burns. She will also be lovingly remembered as a special “granddaughter” to Nancy Hurst and as a beloved niece to Tim and Lori Hurst.
A true friend, Samantha formed deep, meaningful connections with those around her, most importantly Saul Wagman, Pam Saylor, and Mike Croney. Her compassion and friendship will be forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Samantha’s light shined brightly in the lives of her family and community. While her absence leaves a profound hole in the hearts of those she leaves behind, her spirit of service and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
