Ruth Ann (Connarn) Mazzaro

Ruth Ann (Connarn) Mazzaro, beloved wife of the late Louis Mazzaro, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Ruth was a proud Irish-American who lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication. Ruth was a devoted sister to Marge (Donald) Nelson, John (Patricia) Connarn, Florence (Richard) Booms—all of whom predeceased her. She is survived by her sister Maureen (the late Pat Kane and the late William) Krause, and stepson Ken (Elaine) Mazzaro. She was the cherished aunt of 24 nieces and nephews, 58 great-nieces and nephews, and 21 great-great-nieces and nephews, who will all miss her dearly. Ruth graduated from Servite High School in Detroit and went on to earn a Master's degree from the University of Detroit. She had a fulfilling career as an educator and administrative assistant, touching the lives of countless students and colleagues with her wisdom and kindness. Her faith, family, and generosity were the cornerstone of her life, and she was a dedicated supporter of the Servants of Mary. Ruth will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Lou, at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan. Private memorial funeral services will be held at a later date.
