Ronald Sr. Lambert Richardson

RICHARDSON, RONALD LAMBERT SR., age 87 of Pontiac, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. He was born on January 24, 1934 in Chicago to parents Orville and Claire (nee DeLaFonte) Richardson. Ron had a great career as an insurance salesman with State Farm that extended over many years. He enjoyed a wonderful marriage with his late wife Anna Marie. Together they loved to travel to many places. Ron was a blessed and happy man who enjoyed every minute of his life; his favorite phrase when asked how he was doing was, “I’m Super!” He was proud to attend his grandkids’ activities and loved being included in birthdays, holidays, and other family events. He found great pleasure in delivering packages to the residents at Elmhaven Manor, a place he happily resided for over 10 years and where he also enjoyed participating in activities and events. More than anything, Ron cherished the time he got to spend with his family. Ron is survived by his children: Ronald (Lynn) Richardson, Jr., David Richardson, Anna (Clay) Reed, and Dawn (Andrew) Ryan; grandchildren: Jessica, Nicholas, Rachel (Joshua), Drew, Marcus (Francesca), Emily, Ashley, Tamara (Brennan), and Katrina; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna Marie in 2014. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 3-8pm. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Elmhaven Manor so that the residents may enjoy more activities that Ron always loved.
