JOHNSON, RONALD L. of Auburn Hills, passed away April 20, 2026 at 80 years of age. Ron is survived by his spouse of 42 years, James S. Cichon; sister Linda (Larry) Thompson; brother-in-law Gary (Mary) Cichon; niece Jill (Todd Finley), nephews Tim Johnson, Todd (Leyla) Johnson, and Scott (Kathy) Thompson. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Ron was a social worker and retired from the State of Michigan, where he spent most of his time working in child protective services. Ron loved cooking, interior design, furnishings, and antiques. After retiring, he lived in many different places, with one of the most unique being Key West, where he and Jim owned an antique store, The China Clipper. Ron’s tastes in furnishings and décor was impeccable and his opinions will be missed by many. More importantly, Ron’s devotion to his family will be forever missed. Ron elected to not have a service, but a Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. To post a tribute, visit www.CoatsFuneralHome.com.
