Ronald E. DuBois, age 67, of Ortonville, Michigan, passed away on October 27, 2024. Born on December 24, 1956, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the cherished son of the late Keith DuBois and Mary Ann Smith.
Ron married the love of his life, Lisa, in 1988, and they shared 36 wonderful years together. Their favorite times were often the simplest, like watching their favorite TV shows together. He was a devoted husband and a loving father to their two incredible daughters, Rana and Shelby, whom he adored.
A "go-to man" for anything that needed fixing, Ron was known for his unmatched work ethic and his passion for teaching others. Described as a perfectionist and incredibly dependable, he was always there to lend a helping hand to those he loved.
In his free time, Ron was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, and anywhere he could cast a line felt like home. He was also a long-time member of the Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club and a passionate fan of the Detroit Red Wings.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa DuBois; his children, Rana (E.J.) May and Shelby (Mike) Marchione; and his treasured grandchildren, Jessika May, Jadyn May, and soon-to-arrive Baby Marchione. He also leaves behind his siblings, Steve DuBois, Mike (Patty) DuBois, and Susan Sauve. He was preceded in death by his parents, Keith DuBois and Mary Ann Smith.
A memorial visitation in Ron’s honor will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Coats Funeral Home, 3141 Sashabaw Rd., Waterford, MI 48329, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 pm. Services will be live streamed on the Coats Funeral Home Facebook page.
In Ron’s memory, may we carry forward his legacy of love, generosity, and hard work.
