PARKS, RICHARD C. of Clarkston, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025 at 86 years of age. Loving husband of Sherry (née Connelly) for 64 years; dear father of Kim (Kenneth) White, Scott Parks, and David Parks; a second father to Elizabeth (Demetrios) Hloros; grandfather of Vanessa, Devon, Amber Steven, Amanda, Katie, Stephanie, Kevin, Alicia, Karena, Demetrios James and preceded in death by Jessica, Kyle, and Kory; great grandfather of 24 with one on the way; uncle to many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by siblings Bob, Jim, Gloria, Jean, Marjorie, Donna, and Diane, as well as his parents, Richard and Kathryn (née Catlin) Parks. Richard was a master electrician and retired from Chrysler after over 30 years of service. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed time with children whether it was playing baseball in the neighborhood or cooing to new babies, “Welcome to the human race.” He was that kind of man. Following retirement he owned an electrical business and in his spare time he played cards and poker, gardened, a little dancing, and listened to music. His smile and love he gave to his family will always be remembered and never replaced. Funeral service will be Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston. Family will receive friends Friday 11 AM until time of service. To post a tribute, visit www.CoatsFuneralHome.com.
