LYSCAS, RICHARD J. “Rich” of Clarkston, passed away unexpectedly July 22, 2024 at 61 years of age. Loving husband of Yumei for 20 years; cherished father of Anna and Cynthia; dear brother Ed (Zona) Lyscas, Linda (the late Pete) Martinez, Margie (Mike Kenney) Lyscas, and Daniel (Belinda) Lyscas; preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marceil Lyscas. Rich was a 1981 graduate of New Lothrop High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan Technology University and has worked at the GM Tech Center in Warren for 35 years. A real “chatter box” who could build anything, he enjoyed the simple things in life, fishing; woodworking; to building birdhouses and model rockets. He enjoyed spending time with Anna and her martial arts, and Cynthia with her ice skating and working on projects with him in his workshop. Family time was spent at their summer home in Ludington and a special 20th anniversary trip had been planned for Alaska. He was so ambitious with so many things he wanted to do. He will be forever missed and loved. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 11 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON, (8909 Dixie Hwy). Family will receive friends Friday 4-8.
