Richard Leslie Lund "Dick"

LUND, RICHARD L. “Dick” of White Lake, formerly of Lake Angelus, passed away December 13, 2024 at 89 years of age. Loving husband of the late Joyce (née Snyder); dear father of Scot (Becky) Lund and the late Jenny Hibbs; grandfather of Cody, Katrina (Travis), Robert (Lindy), and Laura (Andrew); great grandfather of Scotty, Jackson, Darla, Brynlee, Brycen, and Elijah. Dick earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering and left Pontiac Motor in his 30’s to start his own company, Place Machine in Troy, a machine tool supply company for the automotive industry. He was a 58 year member of Central United Methodist Church; member Pine Lake Country Club and later Prestwick Golf Club. He enjoyed golfing, tinkering around the house, and creating lists of things to do. A truly self made man who was a devoted husband and father. He will be forever missed but we are comforted that he is reunited with his beloved Joyce. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 11 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Burial follows at Crescent Hills Cemetery, Waterford. Family will receive friends Thursday 10 AM until time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church or Open Arms Hospice, 39500 West 10 Mile Road, Suite 101A, Novi, Michigan 48375.
