Richard John Fox

Richard John “Ric” Fox, age 73, passed away on September 1, 2024. Born in Pontiac, Michigan, Ric was the beloved son of Richard and Beverly Ann Fox (née Downs). He graduated from Clarkston High School in 1970, and his life’s journey led him to marry his high school friend and love, Carol Jean Fox (née Morse), on October 19, 1974, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Waterford, MI.

Ric and Carol raised their son, Daryl, in Clarkston, MI. Ric enjoyed a fulfilling career at General Motors, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service at the parts plant, where he worked as a hi-lo driver and held various other positions.

Outside of work, Ric was passionate about deer hunting, boating, and, most notably, restoring classic cars with his son—a hobby that brought him immense joy and pride. His love for classic cars and the time spent with his family in these endeavors will be fondly remembered.

Ric is survived by his devoted wife, Carol Fox; his son, Daryl (Stacey Neil) Fox; and his brother, Robert Fox. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Randy Fox, who passed away in 1997.

A committal service will be held at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery. In honoring Ric’s memory, his family wishes to express their deep gratitude for the love and support they have received during this time. Ric will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his passion for his hobbies, and the warmth he brought to all who knew him.
