Paul D. Roper

Paul D. Roper September 7, 1952 – July 6, 2026 Paul D. Roper, age 73, passed away on July 6, 2026. Paul proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Following his military service, he dedicated more than 40 years of his life as a Mechanical Engineer, where he was known for his strong work ethic, knowledge, and commitment to his profession. Outside of work, Paul found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He loved camping, spending time in nature, and making memories with those he loved most. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family. Whether it was a holiday gathering, a camping trip, or simply being together, Paul valued every moment with his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. Paul was the beloved husband of Cheryl Roper, whose love and companionship meant the world to him. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Renee (Robert) Backlund and Lisa (Tom) Oaks; his grandchildren, Cory, Marshall, Audrey, Ryan, Olivia, and Emily; and his great-granddaughter, Jessica. His family will forever cherish the love, guidance, and memories he leaves behind. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Roper; his mother, Iris Roper; his brothers, Barry Roper and Carl Roper; and his daughter, Jessica Goin. Paul will be remembered for his quiet strength, dedication to his family, love of the outdoors, and the kindness he shared with those around him. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Visitation will be at the COATS FUNERAL HOME - CLARKSTON, 8909 Dixie Highway on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 4:00 PM.
