DANIC, PAUL MICHAEL, age 73 of Waterford, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He was born in Detroit on July 3, 1948 to parents George and Marilyn (Hubbell) Danic. Paul proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam as a Morse Intercept. He received his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and his Master’s Degree from Marygrove College and held over 55 jobs throughout his lifetime. Paul found the job he was meant for when he became a teacher in southeastern Detroit. He won “Teacher of the Year” and worked with the community police department and schools for conflict resolution. Paul loved music and was a talented guitarist. When he was younger, he was a pitcher for the Toledo Mudhens when they worked under the Yankees. He will be remembered for his jokes and for being a good storyteller, but mostly for being a wonderful and involved father. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cynthia Marie (Lowrey) Danic; children: Juli (Jeff), Joseph (Jean), Jena (Tim), Jeffrie (Deanna), Jennifer, Suzanne, Matthew, Paul (Jessica), Kimberley, and Rachel; grandchildren: Maeghan, Logan, Eleanor, Huckleberry, Jeffrie, Corey, Mysteek, Jimi, Autumn, Devin, Brittany, Quincy, Sophia, Cody, Hayley, Bryan, Tristan, Madalyn, Averi, Paul Jr., Damon, Hannah, Leah, Laila, and Mason; great grandchildren: Loki, Sarai, Jaxin, Olivia, and Damon Jr.; siblings: Robert, John, and Kathleen. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ronnie Newton. A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 4:30-7pm at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in honor of Paul.
