Patricia Ann Larson

Patricia Ann Larson, of Oxford passed away on July 31, 2024, at the age of 71 surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Cressy Benjamin Larson and Betty Lou Larson (née Boles). She graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1971 and pursued her passion for helping others by earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social work from Western University.

Patricia’s life was deeply intertwined with her work and family and many wonderful friends. She was the devoted wife of James Edward Hines. This year would have been their 40th wedding anniversary on December 2nd. Patricia met James through her work, a match her father foresaw with great insight. Together, they built a loving family, including their children, Cressy “C.J.” Larson and Keagan (Kristen) Larson. She was a loving sister to Tim Larson (Sheryl) and the late Michael “Mick” (the late JoAnne) Larson, and her nieces, Jessica and Amanda.

For over 40 years, Patricia owned and operated Seymour Lake AFC Home, a dedicated adult foster care facility. Her cooking was legendary among those she served, and she was known for preparing generous, delicious meals. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her love for reading. A truly remarkable woman, Patricia was renowned for her generosity and her care of others. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Even in her passing, Patricia’s generosity continued by donating to Gift of Life.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at COATS FUNERAL HOME - CLARKSTON. Family and friends are invited to gather from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM to celebrate Patricia’s life and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, American Cancer Society, or Alzheimer’s Association in Patricia’s memory, honoring her lifelong commitment to helping others.
