Patricia “Patti” Maureen Cavin, age 66, of Waterford, passed away on March 29, 2026. She was born on June 29, 1959, in Battle Creek, to Burton Glenn Bond and Mary Jane Bond (née Davis).
Patti was a woman whose life was centered around love, especially for her family and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She had a deep affection for animals, particularly her beloved dog, Maggie Mae, who brought her constant companionship and joy. Patti found comfort and adventure in reading, and she was a devoted fan of Notre Dame. She also had a great love for country music, which often filled her home and heart.
Above all, Patti believed that family was everything. She shared 43 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Michael Cavin, building a life rooted in devotion, laughter, and unwavering support. She was a proud and caring mother to her son, Sean (Brianna) Cavin, and found immense joy in her role as grandmother to her cherished grandson, Sullivan. Patti is also survived by her dear siblings: Susan (the late Dennis) Leonowicz; Thomas Bond; Michael Bond; Martha (Lawrence) Daily; Kathleen (James) Homik; and Paul (Ericka) Bond and her numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held Monday, April 6th, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 08:00 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME - WATERFORD. A funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 10 AM, instate beginning at 9:30 AM, at St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic Church - Stone Chapel, located at 2215 Opdyke Road, Bloomfield Hills. Internment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Waterford, Michigan.
Patti’s love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider making a memorial donation to Sullivan’s education fund, continuing Patti’s loving legacy by supporting Sullivan’s future. Donations may be sent to Coats Funeral Home, in care of Michael Cavin at 3141 Sashabaw Rd, Waterford, MI. 48329. Checks may be made payable to Michael Cavin. Donation envelopes will also be provided at the funeral home.
