PAMELA LOUW
(née Greene)
Pamela Louw, lovingly known to family and friends as Carla, passed away surrounded by love. She was a free spirit with a kind heart, a deep love for adventure, and a creative soul that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Ben Greene, and her mother, Pat Greene, both of Clarkston/Grayling, as well as her beloved brother, Bobby Greene.
She is survived by her brothers, Chuck (Maria) Greene and Rick (Bethany) Greene, both of Clarkston/Grayling, along with her cherished nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband and dear friend, Darin Louw of Clarkston.
Pamela held close friendships that meant the world to her, especially Monica, Jessie, and Arron, affectionately known as “the Four Leaf Clovers.”
Carla attended Clarkston High School and Clarkston Renaissance High School. Throughout her life, she embraced experiences that brought joy and wonder—she loved skiing, swimming, and traveling, especially trips to Hawaii, where she lived for a time. Pamela had a deep appreciation for mythical creations such as mushrooms and fairies, and she delighted in collecting salt and pepper shakers, each one a small treasure.
Pamela will be remembered for her warmth, her adventurous spirit, and her ability to find beauty and magic in the world around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
“One love, one heart / Let’s get together and feel alright.”
— Bob Marley, All in One
