HOMIK, NANCY MAE, age 83, of Madison Heights, passed away August 21, 2024. She was born on November 19, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, loving daughter of the late William and Helen Jones (nee Moore). Loving wife of the late William for many years; dear mother of Jim (Kathy) Homik, Bill (Shelley) Homik, Jennie (Chris) Susalla, and Barb (The late Tom) Pallante; proud grandmother of Carl (Alyssa) Homik, Jimmy (Wendy) Homik, Amanda (Justin) Alfano, Kristin (Mike) Wheeler, Alyssa (Dean) Arney, Kaila (Matt) Lupan and Riley Homik; great grandmother of Myles, Bentley, Max, Michael and Nicolette; sister of Pat (Tom) Sokoloski, Bill (Toni) Jones, Don (The late Mary) Jones, Helen Jones, Penny (the late Fran) Lopez, the late Judy Soper and the late Ken Jones. Nancy was a proud patriot serving her country proudly in the United States Army. She worked as a dedicated bus driver for over 30 years driving special needs children. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed reading, journaling and spending time with the many dogs she enjoyed over the years. A Celebration of Nancy’s life will take place at a later date to be determined. Arrangements entrusted to Coats Funeral Home-Waterford. Memorial donations in Nancy’s name may be made to the Michigan Humane Society or the Wounded Warrior Project.
