WALTERS, MYRTIE A. of Davisburg, passed away February 8, 2025 at 73 years of age. Beloved wife of Ken for 53 years; dear mother of Lee Ann Walters, Hope Walters Saddler, Violet Williams Wilson, Jonathan Walters, Daniel Walters, and Tim (Stephanie) Walters; grandmother of Matty, Freda, Melodie, Jarred, Darren, Ethan, Savanna, Olivia, and Elizabeth; great grandmother of 5; survived by one sister; preceded in death by two brothers. Myrtie was born in Denver, Colorado to Cecil and Rose (née King) Riggs. She met Ken in Colorado while he was stationed in Denver with the US Air Force, and the rest is history. They lived all over the country, including Alaska, and would eventually land in Davisburg, Michigan where they have lived for over 20 years. Myrtie earned her degree in nursing and was a practical nurse working in several nursing homes for over 20 years. She loved and cared for her patients and always made them feel seen and important. Myrtie loved to crochet and spend time with her family, as well as, sharing a special bond with her best friend, Ken. Her cute little smile will be forever and dearly missed. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 12 noon at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON, 8909 Dixie Hwy. Family will receive friends Saturday from 11 AM until time of service.
