Myrna Jean (Lobb) Winer

WINER, MYRNA J. (née Lobb), of Orion, formerly of White Lake, surrounded by her loving family, went to be with her heavenly Father on April 3, 2026, at 90 years of age.

Myrna was the loving and cherished mother of Patty Deaton and Sherri (Darran) Powell, and was preceded in death by her daughters, Penny Winer and Susan Findlay. She was a proud grandmother of Craig, Tonia (Mark), Amanda (Robert), Kala (Vincent), and Spencer (Olivia); and a devoted great-grandmother of Syler, Maxwell, Hudson, Logyn, Vincent Jr., and the late Levi. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Wilfred Lobb, Grace Wardie, Rev. Richard Lobb, Donald Lobb, and their spouses Catherine Lobb, Lola Lobb, Marcie Lobb, and Joseph Wardie; special and cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Born on May 11, 1935, in Flint to her loving parents, Wilford and Zada (née Ostrander) Lobb, Myrna lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.

Myrna retired from the Waterford School District after 28 years of dedicated service as secretary for Waterford Mott High School. She continued her caring nature by working an additional 10 years at a local group home, where she provided compassionate support to those in need.

A woman of deep faith, Myrna was a devoted member of Community Presbyterian Church for 56 years. Music was a constant and meaningful part of her life—she sang in the church choir for many years, something she had loved since she was a little girl. Her voice and spirit brought joy to those around her and reflected her lifelong devotion.

Myrna also treasured time spent with friends, whether shopping together or enjoying a night out at the movies. These simple moments brought her great happiness and lasting memories.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness, music, and devotion will continue to live on in all who knew her. Special thank you to her caregivers, Ke-Ke, Tenysha, Ayanna, and Andrea.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11 AM at Community Presbyterian Church, 4301 Monroe St, Waterford. Family will receive friends Wednesday 4 PM -8 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD and Thursday 10 AM at the church. Private burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Linden.
