Michael C. Comps, born September 8, 1947, was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend whose kind heart and quiet strength touched the lives of many. He passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and countless acts of kindness.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mickey Comps; his brother, Larry Comps; and his sister, Mary Lou Collins.
He is survived by his loving sister, Joann (Robert) Schupbach, and his nephew, Randy Shatrau, along with Aunt Irma in California & other relatives and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
For many years, Michael was a dedicated employee of Royal Wire, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature.
Outside of work, Michael’s greatest passion was collecting Major League Baseball cards, a hobby he began as a child and enjoyed throughout his life. His collection reflected not only his love of the game but also the joy he found in preserving its history.
Michael will be remembered most for his generous heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, asking little in return. His kindness, humility, and caring spirit touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His family finds comfort in the memories they shared with him and in knowing that his legacy of kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Internment in Lakeview Cemetery plans pending.
