Mary Martha (Mount) Ostrander

OSTRANDER, MARY MARTHA (nee Mount), age 84, of Clarkston, formerly of Houghton Lake, passed away December 24, 2021. She was born on May 12, 1937 in Pontiac, Michigan daughter to the late Lowell and Eathol Mount (nee Harlan). Loving wife of Donald for 65 wonderful years; dear mother of Jill (Perry) Avenall, Michael (Diane) Ostrander, and Bradley (Catherine) Ostrander; proud grandmother of Brian, Michelle (Jake), Brooke, Paige, and Carley and one great grandchild on the way. She is predeceased by her siblings; Donald Mount, James (Lorrene) Mount, and Anna Jean House; sister-in-law of Jack (the late Jean) Ostrander, Dorothy (Jerry) Klein and the late Al (Marty) Ostrander. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Mary attended Pontiac High School class of 1957, where she sang in the choir and was part of the Trabajamas sorority. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping golfing and spending time at the lake.  Mary’s family and friends were the most important thing in her life. A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Coats Funeral Home in Waterford. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
