Margaret Elena Lemos

Margaret Elena Lemos, age 98, of Waterford, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025. She was born on January 14, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan, to parents Jose and Soledad Lopez. A proud graduate of Pontiac Central High School, Class of 1944, Margaret began her career as a secretary in the industrial sector, working for Baldwin Rubber. Later she was the controller for Mult-A-Frame Corp. She dedicated nearly 30 plus years to her career before retiring. In her free time, Margaret had a passion for golfing, and traveling. She loved the lake life, finding joy in the peaceful surroundings. In her later years, she enjoyed taking senior trips to casinos and was known as a social butterfly, always full of life. Margaret's love for her family, her church family, and her career was evident in all she did. Along with her husband, Joseph, Margaret shared a deep love for music and was an exceptional dancer. She was a woman of strong faith, and she was an active member of the First Spanish Baptist Church of Pontiac.

Margaret is survived by her children, JoAnn (Carl) Sterenberg and Jeff Lemos. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Ochoa Lemos, her parents, and her many siblings. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coats Funeral Home - Clarkston (8909 Dixie Hwy). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM with a visitation beginning at Noon. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Spanish Baptist Church of Pontiac. Margaret will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
