Lawrence "Jake" Jacobsen

JACOBSEN, LAWRENCE “JAKE”, age 88, of Waterford, passed away September 5, 2023. He was born on August 18, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, son to the late Lawrence John and Theresa Jacobsen (nee DeMuynck). Loving husband of the late Dorothy “Dottie” Jacobsen and the late Mariann Jacobsen. Dear father of Deborah (D.R.) Duncan, Dr. Theresa (Jim) Peters, Dawn (Bob) Craig, Marilyn Jacobsen and the late Larry Jacobsen Jr. Proud grandfather of Kaitlin Duncan, Trevor Zalewski, Morgan Duncan, and Brendan Zalewski. Brother of Shirley (Bill) Stepek, the late Dolores Jacobsen and the late Sharon Jacobsen. Jake worked for General Motors for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family and being an active Member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 5481 Dixie Highway, Waterford. The family will receive friends at Church on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
