Lance "Warren" Tucker, of Colonial Heights, Virginia; He was born on July 31, 1926, in Richmond, Virginia, and passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the age of 95. Beloved husband of Jean A. Tucker for five years; father of sons, John (Sheri) of Petersburg, VA, Barry of Sutherland, VA, daughter, Karen (Ken) Vollmar of Davison, MI; stepfather to the late Darrell (Kathy) Varner of Black Hawk, SD, Susan (David) Oliver of Waterford, MI, and Sue (Vince) Foresta of Petersburg, VA. He was a grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He is survived by one brother, Linwood (Joyce) Tucker of California. Warren is preceded in death by his former wife, Donna; his father, Eli; mother, Nannie; three brothers, Lewis, Alfred, and Stuart; and a sister, Dorothy Rozof.
Warren was a World War II veteran, who served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener, and also loved many sports, including NASCAR Auto Racing. Mr. Warren enjoyed the outdoors and traveling in the R.V. He retired in 1986 from G.M.S.P.O. in Drayton Plains, MI, after 30 years of dedicated service, and was also a part-time real estate sales associate for many years. He also worked for Kosma Enterprises, Inc. He enjoyed helping others in need, and will be greatly missed by loved ones, friends, and neighbors.
Funeral services were held in Colonial Heights, Virginia and burial with military honors took place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association
