Kathy Lynn Johnston

JOHNSTON, KATHY L. of Waterford, born October 8, 1962 in Pontiac, MI to loving parents Donald and Constance (née Meredith) Johnston, passed away July 4, 2025 at 62 years of age. Loving sister of Dean (Hilary) Johnston; dear aunt of Jared Johnston; preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Constance. Kathy was a 1980 graduate of Waterford Kettering High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in 1984 from Central Michigan University. As a business analyst, Kathy worked for T-Systems and had several contractor roles with GM and Stellantis. She enjoyed spending time on the golf course playing golf and was a diehard Lions fan, rooting for them win or lose. A passion for animals, Kathy was a devoted mom to many cats and dogs over the years. But what Kathy truly enjoyed was quality time spent with family and friends, near and far. Her sunny and open smile will be forever missed by all who loved her. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 at 1 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.
