Juliana Frances Clark, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 19, 1943, in Pontiac, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of Oscar and Mary (Meldrum) Pung.
Juliana graduated from Shrine Catholic High School in 1961 before pursuing her passion for nursing at Providence Hospital in Detroit. She earned her Registered Nurse degree, later furthering her education at Oakland University, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and where she was also working on completing a master’s in nursing. Juliana met the love of her life, Robert Clark, at a New Year’s Eve blind date set up by her family. They were inseparable, marrying on December 27, 1967, and together shared 57 years of love and companionship. Throughout her career, Juliana worked at Providence and Henry Ford Hospitals in Detroit, later moving on to Crittenton Hospital and Southeastern Michigan Hospice of Rochester Hills. She concluded her career at St. Joseph’s in Pontiac, Michigan, where she served as a unit manager and later as the director of oncology and cardiology. Juliana’s career was marked by compassion and a deep commitment to her patients, as well as a lifelong dedication to caregiving. Juliana was a devoted mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family. She also lovingly cared for both her parents in their later years. Her nurturing spirit extended to her friends and loved ones. Outside of her professional life, Juliana enjoyed gardening, reading fiction and mysteries, and practicing yoga at Up Dog in Rochester Hills, where she formed lasting friendships. A woman of deep faith, Juliana’s spirituality was central to her life. Her kind, caring nature touched everyone who knew her, and she will be greatly missed by all. Juliana is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Clark, and their children: Robert (Stephanie) Clark, Mary Ellen Clark, and Matthew (Tracy) Clark. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Riley, Colin, Jackson, and Ryan; her siblings: Anthony (Hazel) Pung, Albert (Barbara) Pung, Oscar (Mary Kate) Pung, and John (Ann) Pung. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mary Pung, and her siblings, Mary Lou Pung and Frederick Pung.
