Judith Marion Windeler, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born on December 2, 1943.
Judith was the beloved wife of her devoted husband, Edmund Lee Windeler, Jr. with whom she shared a life rooted in love, partnership, and family. She was an intentional and deeply loving mother to her children: “Ned” L. Windeler, Adam C. Windeler, Stacie Hood, and Michelle McCullough. Her family continued to be her greatest joy as a proud grandmother of ten, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Ruhlig, Nancy Herpolsheimer, Gerre Derus, and Lori Roof, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her warmth and wisdom.
Judith retired from Waterford Public Schools, where she devoted her career to enriching the lives of others. A lifelong educator at heart, she was passionate about expanding the minds of young people and guiding them with patience, kindness, and high expectations. That same generous spirit extended beyond the classroom, as she lovingly offered guidance and encouragement to students, family members, and friends alike.
Judith will be remembered for her love of gardening, her dedication to education, and her unwavering commitment to the people she loved. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.
