Judah Elliot Desent unexpectedly went from the arms of his parents to the arms of Jesus on May 26th, 2025 at Beaumont Royal Oak Hospital.
Judah was born on March 18, 2025 and was taken home far too soon for us. Judah's family loved his long dark hair, chunky rolls and warm snuggles.
Judah was welcomed into his large family, with many siblings who were eager to meet and hold their new brother. Each day they would come home from school and ask to hold him. In the van they would argue over who would sit next to Judah and Lyla always won.
Though his time on earth was brief, Judah's presence changed the life of each one who held him. His name meaning “Praise” reminds us to choose to praise God for the gift of his life and every moment we had with him.
In remembrance of Judah's life and to keep his memory alive in his sibling’s lives, we are building a treehouse in our backyard that will be named the ‘house of judah’.
Judah is mourned by his parents, Elijah and Amanda Desent.
His siblings Ava, Nehemiah, Ezra, Lyla, Elijah, Uriah and Tobiah.
His grandparents Greg and Pamela Skarritt and Nash and Suzanne Desent.
His aunts and uncles, Joe and Mandy Rukstelo, Steve and Alexandra Rukstelo, Nick and Katelyn Skarritt, Megan Skarritt, Angela Fontaine, Elesha and Michael Carrier, Juli and Donald Gabriel, Isaiah and Leah Desent, Obadiah and Kelly Desent, Gloria and Luke Goodine, Victoria and Wesley Allen, Azariah and Makaila Desent.
His 29 cousins and many more close family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1 PM at Dixie Baptist Church, 8585 Dixie Highway, Clarkston. Interment follows at Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston. Family will receive friends Saturday at Dixie Baptist from 12 noon until time of service. Flowers may be sent to Dixie Baptist Church from 9 AM to 3 PM.
