VICKERY, JOYCE C., of Waterford, went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2026, at 89 years of age.
Joyce was the beloved wife of the late Herbert Vickery; cherished mother of Jerry (the late Lisa) Jacks and Anthony (Linda) Vickery; proud grandmother of Sharlene (Tim), Anthony Jr., Jeremy, and Amanda; and loving great-grandmother of three. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Alice Ruple, Herman Wilson, and Barbara Jones.
Joyce dedicated more than 30 years of her life to the healthcare industry, caring for others with the same compassion and generosity that defined her personal life. A devoted mother, she never hesitated to work extra hours to provide for her children and ensure they had everything they needed.
Her kindness extended far beyond her family. Joyce would help a stranger in a heartbeat, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her caring spirit, warm smile, and generous heart touched the lives of many.
A breast cancer survivor, Joyce faced life's challenges with remarkable faith and resilience. Her relationship with the Lord was the foundation of her life, and she faithfully read her Bible every day, drawing strength, comfort, and guidance from God's Word.
Joyce found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved going out to dinner with her children, spending time playing Bingo, and dancing the night away at Rockin' Country Music Round Up. Whether sharing a meal, enjoying music, or simply spending time with family and friends, Joyce embraced every opportunity to create happy memories.
Known for her wonderful sense of humor and joyful personality, Joyce had a way of making people smile wherever she went. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, a faithful servant of God, and a truly kind and generous woman whose legacy of compassion and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
