Joyce Marie Blome

Joyce Marie Blome (Tamkevic), 75, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026.

Born on July 10, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, Joyce was a graduate of St. Mary’s of Redford High School. She spent much of her career at Aetna, where she retired after many years as an Executive Assistant supporting a Financial Advisory team.

Joyce loved bringing people together. She found joy in entertaining friends and family and took great pride in her cooking and baking, whether grilling out on the Weber or making her famous Kugeli. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, a reflection of her natural green thumb.

Joyce cherished her time in Pentwater, Michigan, with her partner, John, where days filled with simple pleasures—beach walks, camping, and boat rides on Lake Michigan—became treasured memories.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Philomena, and her sisters, Donna, Alice, and Joann. Joyce is survived by her partner, John Linseman; his children, Nicholas and Sarah; her sister, Glory Palmer; her daughters, Terri (Brian Etter) and Amy (Aaron Kleinow); her grandchildren, Sydney (Kurt Kairunas), Kayla, Brendan, Zachary, Savanah, and Kendall; and her four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Coats Funeral Home, 3141 Sashabaw Road, Waterford, Michigan 48329 on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 11am. Viewing hours will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 4pm to 8pm, at the same location.
