Joseph John Duran III, age 54, was born on February 16, 1970 and passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2024 surrounded by his family. John loved the Lord.
John was the loving husband of Ann Duran for 33 years. He was a dedicated father to his children, Johnny (RaeLynn) and Katie (Joe), and a proud grandfather to his grandson, Jack Joseph and future granddaughter Lynelle Rae. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Joe (Paula) and Pat, and his siblings, Tammy and Mike.
John took great joy in spending time with his family, especially on outdoor projects and family trips. An avid outdoorsman, John enjoyed kayaking and hunting, and he was an excellent woodworker, builder, carpenter, and artist. His creative talents extended to stained glass, clay and pottery, metal, and epoxy work. John’s artistic talents and craftsmanship were a testament to his meticulous nature and his ability to bring beauty into the world.
It’s hard to summarize who John was because he was not simple. He loved to learn and research. He was thoughtful, compassionate, lighthearted, funny, and he cared deeply for his work and those he loved. He will be remembered not only for the beautiful work that he created but for the heart behind his hands.
Visitation for John will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Services will begin at 11:30 am. Burial to follow at Ottawa Park Cemetery.
