John J. "John" Rabe

RABE, ROBERT J. “John” of Davisburg, passed away August 19, 2025 at 88 years of age. Loving husband of Susan (nѐe Ferguson); dear father of Karl (Cheryl) Rabe and Anne-Marie Rabe; grandfather of Chase Rabe, Skylar Rabe, Brandon Rabe, Ila Kickuth, Kailey Kickuth, and Brodie Kickuth; preceded in death by his parent, John and Hazel (nѐe Neumayer) Rabe, and siblings, Harold Rabe, Ila Peters, Darwin Rabe, Jerry Rabe, and Johnny Rabe. John earned his Masters of Science in Nuclear Physics from San Diego State University. He worked as a nuclear scientist for Gulf General Atomic. John was a big thinker and problem solver. He enjoyed woodworking; gardening; writing; reading; but his real passion was sailing having built his own mahogany sailboat and his family. His talents were boundless.
