John Warren Bryant, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left this world too soon. John passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on September 22, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, John was the beloved son of Claudia Bernice Bryant (nee Kendrick) and the late David Edward Bryant. He was a proud graduate of Michigan State University, where his love for the Spartans turned into an unwavering, lifelong passion. As a true Spartan fan, John’s enthusiasm for his alma mater was infectious, and his loyalty never wavered.
John’s greatest pride and joy, however, was his family. He and his loving wife, Carrie, raised their two children, Jack Edward and Zoe Grace, in Clarkston, Michigan. Together, John and Carrie built a home filled with love, laughter, and memories that will last forever. As a father, John was a constant source of support and encouragement, always present at Jack and Zoe’s sporting events, where his pride for his children was evident. His children were his world, and his love for them knew no bounds.
John’s generosity and zest for life extended beyond his immediate family. He was a man who adored his friends and shared his joy with anyone who crossed his path. He also cherished the moments spent on the golf course with Carrie, where they would share peaceful conversations, laughter, and mutual admiration.
Thanksgiving was one of John’s favorite holidays, and he delighted running in the Turkey Trot, followed by hosting the annual family gathering, where he’d showcase his latest and greatest cocktail creations. John brought people together with his warmth and hospitality. He also had a deep appreciation for craft beer, always ready to share a drink with friends and family.
John was a man who loved deeply, laughed often, and lived life to the fullest. His ability to make others feel special, his unwavering loyalty, and his infectious enthusiasm for all things he loved will be forever missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Carrie Bryant; his two children, Jack and Zoe Bryant; his mother, Claudia; his brother, Gregory (Beth) Bryant; his niece and nephew, Katie and Steven Bryant; and his beloved dogs, Dublin and Louie.
John’s legacy will live on in the countless memories of laughter, love, and the deep connections he created with everyone he met. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
A private memorial service will be held for family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
