Jenee, Mateo & Nikko Suddeth Obituary

Jeneé Monica Suddeth age 32, along with her son Mateo Monico Suddeth age 12, lost their lives on July 13, 2024, and her beloved son Nikko D. Suddeth age 9, passed away on July 14, 2024.

Jeneé was born on July 22, 1991, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Julio and Monica Quinones. Blessed with a bonus dad William Baldwin. She was a vibrant soul, known for her love of cooking exquisite Puerto Rican dishes in her spare time. From a young age, Jeneé had a passion for music and began singing at the tender age of three. Her commitment to music continued throughout her life, as she became a revered leader of praise and worship at Mount Zion Church in Clarkston, Michigan, a place she attended faithfully. She graduated from Mount Zion High School in 2009 and touched countless lives with her kindness and devotion.

Jeneé met Matthew Suddeth, the love of her life, through a mutual friend. Their journey together began with a first date at the movies, and they were married on February 8, 2014.

Mateo Monico Suddeth was born on May 21, 2012, in Troy, Michigan. He was eagerly anticipating entering the seventh grade at Waterford Montessori Middle School. Mateo had a deep passion for music, playing guitar, and collecting vintage band T-shirts, like Pink Floyd. He was a self-taught guitarist and took great pride in his extensive collection of Jordans. Mateo was a loving older brother to Nikko.

Nikko D. Suddeth was born on January 30, 2015, also in Troy, Michigan. Nikko was Full of energy and spirit and was excited to enter the 4th grade. He had a natural talent for gymnastics and eagerly looked forward to joining his first baseball team. He loved cooking, baking, and was quite the entrepreneur; running his own successful lemonade stand and crafting bracelets for family and friends. Nikko was adored by all who knew him and was Mateo's cherished younger brother.

They leave behind a void that can never be filled in the hearts of their family and friends: loving husband and father Matthew Linn Suddeth; parents and grandparents Monica (Scott) Hawes and Julio (Roxanne) Quinones; mother-in-law and grandmother Patty (Jeff); maternal grandparents and great grandparents William and Lolly Dye; sister and aunt Charde; uncle and great uncle Monico (Deborah); aunt and great aunt Krissy “aka Ti Ti” (Charlie) and Meemaw (Mary); niece/nephew and cousins Demi, Sophia, Devin, Angelo, and Liam; step-brother and uncle Glenn (Amber); and their church family; cousins and second cousins Kristyn (David), Shortie (Heidi), Morgan (Austin), Charlise (Brian), Gracie, Celia, and Sydney; second cousins and third cousins Braxton and Charlie. Best friend to Mateo Mason. Preceded in death by father-in-law and grandfather Linn and sister-in-law and Aunt Deborah.

 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 19, at 11 AM at Mount Zion Church in Clarkston, located on Maybee Road. The family will receive guests on Thursday, July 18, from 4 PM to 8:30 PM at the church. Following the service, a burial will take place at Drayton Plains Cemetery.

In their passing, Jeneé, Mateo, and Nikko leave behind a legacy of love, music, creativity, and joy that will forever be cherished by their family and community.
