MAYO, JEFFREY L. of Clarkston, passed away December 27, 2024 at 80 years of age. Loving husband of the late Rosa Mayo; dear father of Jonni (Ken) Jackson and Angie (Mike) Rakowski; grandfather of Jeff (Adriana), Tyler, and Kaylee; great grandfather of Aurora; step grandfather of Michael and Matthew; step great grandfather of Maverick and Charlotte who is on the way; brother of Jim (Arla) Mayo and Jay (Jean) Mayo; preceded in death by 7 siblings. Jeff was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from GM after over 40 years of service. A proud veteran, Jeff was member and past post commander of VFW #1008, as well as a Mason and Shriner. He loved golfing; the Detroit Tigers; classic cars; and most of all, spoiling his grandchildren. A man who enjoyed his family and an occasional drive to Maine for fresh lobster. A one of a kind husband, father, and grandfather who will be forever loved and missed. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 1 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON, 8909 Dixie Hwy. Interment with military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Family will receive friends Thursday 11 AM until time of service. Memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association or Wounded Warrior.
