Janet Lynn Proctor

PROCTOR, JANET L. of Waterford, passed away February 16, 2025 at 67 years of age. Loving mother of Christina Sosnowski and Nicole (Patrick) Sosnowski; grandmother of Lucian and Lorelei; sister of Jerry (Karen) Proctor; preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Myrna Proctor and the father of her daughters, John Sosnowski. Janet earned a bachelor’s degree in gerontology from Madonna University. She worked in the health care industry and spent several years with the Waterford Senior Center’s Encore Adult Day Service. She was a lifelong learner who struggled for many years with her health but that never stopped her in her quest for knowledge. Janet was deeply engaged in the spiritual community and the connections to nature. She would collect pine cones known for their protection, spiritual enlightenment, and the prospect of new beginnings. Most important was her devotion to her family as a mother and grandmother. Her memory will live in all of us forever. A gathering will be held at a later date in celebration of Janet’s life. Arrangements entrusted to COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.
