James (Jim) Nelson Richardson

James Nelson Richardson, age 83, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away on March 8th, 2026 surrounded by family. Born on May 5th, 1942 in Marion, Michigan to Onnalee and Harold, Jim was known for his deep love and loyalty to his family and for his 35 years of service as a millwright with General Motors. 

Jim is survived by his children, Gail Fochesato (Joe) and Jeff Richardson (Melissa).  Jim was a cherished grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wives Carol (d. 2013), Fran (d. 2016) and Carol (d. 2024).

A memorial service will be held at Central United Methodist Church, 3882 Highland Road, Waterford on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM.  Visitation with the family will be held at church on Saturday 10:00 AM until time of service.  Please join the family for lunch following the service.
