James "Jim" Charles Fox, Jr.

FOX JR., JAMES “JIM” CHARLES, age 83 of Waterford, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. He was born in Pontiac, MI to the late James and Gladys (Renaud) Fox. Jim proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 63 in Clarkston. Jim spent his career working for General Motors and retired in 2006. In his free time, Jim enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and playing cards with the “Camel Club.” He was given the nickname “Catfish” from his many trips bringing catfish from Arkansas to Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Fox; children: Roger (Nancy) Crotts, Patti (the late Harry) Smith, Missi Crotts, Elizabeth (Dalton) Marshall, Lisa (the late Don) Landsparger, and Robyn (Steve) Cohoon; siblings: Ann (the late Frank) O’Connor and Sheila (Mike) Kerchoff; many nieces and nephews; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his step son Timothy Crotts. Funeral services will be held at Coats Funeral Home-Clarkston on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1pm. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at noon.
