Ingrid Josephine Patrix, age 84, passed away at her home in Waterford, Michigan on July 2, 2024. She was born October 6, 1939, in Regensburg, Germany, the beloved daughter of Fritz and Barbara Knorz. She was survived by her three children: Robert (Maddie) Patrix, Amy (Jerry) Girard, Barb (Jeff) Carbary. Devoted Oma to Jon Harrington, Nicole (Douglas) Maltese, Makayla (Bradley) Santo, Jessi (Trevor) Neideffer, Melanie (Rylan) Patrix, Jacob Patrix, Brenden Beeman, Michael, and David Patrix, Breanna (Tom) Bondarchuk, Braxton Bunner. She had six great grandchildren that she showered with love and lots of hand knit blankets and outfits, and many nieces and nephews that she cared for dearly. Loving sister to Mike and Linda Patrix, Ferol and the late Robert Acton, and Charlynn (Ray) Patrix. Loving Oma to her fur grandbaby, Ruby who stayed by her side until the very end. Ingrid worked as a nurse at Beaumont Royal Oak for over 25 years. After her retirement she continued to do private duty nursing until her late seventies, she was passionate about caring for her patients and bringing them comfort in their times of need. She enjoyed many hobbies such as knitting, sewing, baking, reading, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She has touched so many lives with her kindness and unconditional love. Ingrid always put everyone’s needs above her own, her acts of selflessness and compassion were beyond words. Her children would like to thank many of her family members for their support and assistance during their mother’s illness. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Ingrid’s life will be held July 13, at COATS FUNERAL HOME - WATERFORD, Michigan at 4:00.
