KUCIEMBA, HELEN J. (née Grabkowski) of Clarkston, formerly of Fenton, passed away unexpectedly June 13, 2025 at 91 years of age. Loving wife of the late Richard for 60 years; cherished mother of Denise Arpke and Stephen (Brenda) Kuciemba; beloved grandmother of Laura, Brian, Amy (Kevin), Sara (Christian), Gabriel (Claudia); great grandmother "GG" of Grayson, Lucy, Troy, Mason, Evan, and Keagan; preceded in death by siblings Charles Grabkowski, Barbara Roush, Lucy Fuller, and Richard Grabkowski. Helen was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Bernard and Anna (née Malakovich) Grabkowski. Helen and Richard would eventually move to Michigan and Helen would work as a secretary for Linden Community Schools for 25 years. Helen and Richard enjoyed their retirement spending winters in Arizona where they would become infamous for their margarita parties. A devout Catholic, Helen would immerse herself in the local parish wherever they resided. She enjoyed baking; playing cards; puzzles; and polka dancing. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling the world with Richard’s polka bands. She will be deeply missed for her generous smile, her love of margaritas, and her immeasurable commitment to her family. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 825 S. Ortonville Rd, Ortonville. Instate Tuesday 10 AM until time of mass.
