Gordon Peter Finnerty

Gordon P. Finnerty, of Clarkston, passed away March 3, 2025 at 94 years of age. Born November 19, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, son of John and Florence Finnerty.

Loving father to Sheryl (Dan) Cota, Gordon (Barb) Finnerty, Annette (Doug) Dinkleman, Kathy (Tom) Richardson and Lori (Glenn) Henige; proud grandfather of 11; great grandfather of 5; brother of Pat (Sue) Finnerty; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved pets. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 69 years, Joyce Finnerty; parents, John and Florence Finnerty; and siblings, Marie Tobin, John Finnerty, Jr., and Susanne Vallie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Coats Funeral Home – 3141 Sashabaw Rd., Waterford, MI 48329, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held on March 7, 2025 beginning at 10:30am with a visitation prior at 9:30am. Officiating the services will be Pastor Paul Mabry. Burial at All Saints Cemetery will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gordon’s honor to the American Heart Association or the Michigan Humane Society.
