Gladysann Johnson, age 84, of Holly, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
Born on February 8, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, Gladysann was the beloved wife of Buddy Ray Johnson for 66 years. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and faith.
Gladysann dedicated her career to caring for others, retiring from Clinton Valley State Mental Hospital. A devout member of St. Anne Catholic Church and St. Daniel Catholic Church, she found joy in her faith and community. She was known for her vibrant spirit and love of swimming, yoga, and most of all, spending cherished time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Steven and Mark Johnson; her parents, Raymond and Norma Wenz; and her siblings, Tom Wenz, Donna Baker, and Jan Oliver.
Gladysann is survived by her loving husband, Buddy; her children, Denise Crawford, Karen Johnson, and Jeffrey Johnson; chosen children; Michael Vance and late Brock Gritzinger; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren; and siblings; Lois Burmeister and Marie Garrett.
A memorial mass will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM at St. Daniel Catholic Church, 7010 Valley Park Dr, Village of Clarkston, with a luncheon following. Family will receive friends Monday 3-7 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON, 8909 Dixie Hwy, Clarkston.
