Geraldine M. (Morse) Seeterlin, age 91 of Waterford, passed away quietly on Friday, April 5, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1932 in Keego Harbor to her late parents, Richard and Mary (Teeple) Morse. Gerry, along with her loving husband, (predeceased Don), were charter members of Our Lady of the Lakes parish and one of the first couples married there. Over the years Gerry served as a Eucharistic Minister and on the Altar Guild Society. However, during the early years, most of her time in church was spent trying to keep all her children quiet. Gerry enjoyed many activities and hobbies throughout her life: ceramics, bowling, knitting, crocheting, Bunco, square dancing, painting, cooking, and writing stories for her grandchildren. One of her favorite hobbies was collecting angels. She had quite the collection of glass angels. She really enjoyed gardening and her yard always looked beautiful with all the flowers she planted. In addition to all that she was a homemaker and a loving mother to all 8 of her children. Gerry was a lifelong resident of Waterford. After Don retired, they loved to travel. They spent 24 winters as snowbirds in Gulf Shores, AL where she and Don were very involved in the Michigan Club. They organized many events for the club, including blood drives and charitable fundraisers. They also spent many summers in Caseville at their trailer, where many good times with family were enjoyed. They both enjoyed family parties and reunions, eating out, and long scenic drives around Michigan. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Canterbury for their continuous care and comfort over the last six years. Gerry was predeceased by her loving husband and childhood sweetheart of 72 years, Don. She is survived by seven children: Patty (Bob) Kopacz, Mickey (Ted) Ginn, Don Seeterlin, Ginny Seeterlin, Mary Thomas, Bill (Kim) Seeterlin, Julie (Tim) Jagmin; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Tom Seeterlin; daughter-in-law Robin Seeterlin and son-in-law, Mike Strong. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Waterford, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 2-8pm at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. The family will receive visitors again on Friday at church, one half hour prior to mass, beginning at 9:30am. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Alzheimer’s Association or Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in honor of Gerry.
